it's been a year since i last posted something. i don't really have a reason for that, but i can't fucking believe it's been a year already. when i wrote my last post, i felt stressed out thinking about being a senior. it wasn't that stressful i actually had a lot of fun and enjoyed my last year. the environment of the class changed, perhaps everyone thought the same thing; it was our last year.

well it wasn't all beautiful, the moments we had. there was a time when i felt really sad and just want to cry all day. sure it wasn't as stressful as i thought it was gonna be. but it was hard. you know i don't really tell my true feelings to anyone even my closest friends, so i had to keep it inside (it's not that i don't, i just.. can't). now looking back at that time, i'm feeling happier.

high school was truly something that i cherished so much, the memories, the friends, the teachers, the classmates, the events, they're all unforgettable. it might sound cheesy but it's true. at first, when i was in 10th grade, i didn't feel anything like i just went to school and that was it. i wasn't really happy. my first year was hell and i just wanted to disappear and not come back to school. but as time passed by i got the hang of it, i got to spend more time with friends as i met some of my closest friends back then and we started hanging out, and i became more open to them.

high school really changed me, i'm now a different person but still the same personality. i learned a lot and improved myself as a human being. now i don't really do anything as high school ended and i officially graduated a week ago. i haven't been accepted to any universities and am currently waiting for the announcement. it feels terrible, i can't really enjoy my time because i overthink. what if i don't get accepted? what am i gonna do? but hey, let's just pray to God and hope for the best.

i'm sorry it's a short post but maybe i will tell you more about my high school's experience in the upcoming post!

hi! it's been a long time since my last post. I think it was around october of last year when I posted something? many things happened while I was away. whether it was good or bad, it didn't really matter. I just rode along with it.

it's already the 4th month of the year. time does fly so fast. and it can be scary sometimes; passing through times without even realizing it. I've learned quite a few things being a high schooler, one of them is you can't just trust people. well, everybody knows that and what I meant is I think I'm now more careful being around with people.

people say that high school is one of the best things in your life and you've got to enjoy it. that statement isn't exactly true. it's not like high school is bad. it's just.. stressful you know, coping with people's attitudes that truly bother you. but it will pass.

as for friends, I guess it's better now. I met some really good friends that I enjoy being with. at first, I was so frustated about making friends. 'will I get more friends?' that was what I thought when I first entered high school. I was separated with my old friends as we had different courses as well as classes. I wasn't alone though. there was this one friend whom I wasn't close with but we knew each other's names and we had mutual friends. it was really awkward in the beginning but we're really close now. it's crazy how time can bring people closer.

there's actually this thing that I want to talk about. it's about 'best friend'. I don't know if I have a best friend or not, nor do I care. what I know is I have friends that I consider close and they're special to me; whether they're best friends or simply just close friends. it's not that I don't want to adress them as best friends. I don't know the real meaning behind it. when I was in elementary school and middle school I had some friends that I thought were my best friends but they left. just like that. no reason. so.. what is best friend exactly? if you're my friend and reading this, please don't be too hurtful. just know that you are my friend, you mean a lot to me, you're special. please remember this: titles don't matter.

I always try to be a better person. :)

Last weekend, I went to one of the islands of A Thousand Islands which was Pulau Tidung (eng: Tidung Island). It was definitely a really fun experience! It wasn't as what I was expecting, but that was worth it I guess. I spent two days and a night at the island. We had to wake up early in the morning so that we wouldn't miss the ship. I couldn't even think about being on the ship again because it was terrible, well when it was on the way to Jakarta it was fine.

On the first day, after arriving we took some rest before heading to go snorkeling. I did snorkel, though I was really scared, because that was probably the only chance (and time) I would snorkel in my entire life. I had to try it no matter what. It was amazing. Still, I was really scared so I held my mom's hand the entire time we were in the sea (lmao).

The sea was so blue I couldn't take my eyes off of it. Unfortunately, I didn't take any underwater pictures (my brother has a GoPro though).

The snorkeling spot was a bit far from the island, it took some time to get there.

That bridge is called the 'Bridge of Love' or Jembatan Cinta as Indonesians would say. Most people (who had enough guts) jumped into the sea from the bridge. I, being the loser I was, didn't.

We went to the beach after we were done snorkeling. The beach was alright. Many people are careless that they still throw trashes out in the sea. Like I honestly wouldn't do that for sure since clear seas are rarely to be found in the city I live in, wait I mean nice beaches don't exist in Jakarta. The sea was clear though, it was really saddening me that people were that careless. I had fun playing in the water though. I did take some pictures at the beach, it's coming up in the next post hopefully.

At night we were served with grilled fish (that sounded really weird, how do you say it in english). I didn't eat any because I didn't like fish that much, besides, I wasn't hungry. It started to rain when we were about to leave the place where we ate. We went to sleep right after that (excluding me because I have some sleeping problems).

The next day, we went cycling early in the morning to see the sunrise. At first, the sun was peeking out but then the clouds were covering it so that it was no longer there. I was really happy then disappointed. But it was expected since it has been raining a lot lately in my country. We went to another island which I didn't know what was the name of it, it was connected with Tidung Island by bridge so we didn't go by ship.
